About Me

   I am a recent college graduate from the University of Oregon, with a degree in Psychology and Business Administration. However, my specific area of interests are in Community Health, Health Policy, and Global Health.

    During my undergraduate studies I was privileged enough to be apart of the Women's Rugby Club, which not only taught me skills such as teamwork, adaptability, time management, and accountability but also helped me to get involved within the community with various events and volunteer services we would take part in. 

     Through my current employment at the Keystone Pediatric Behavioral Health center as a Behavior Interventionist I am able to provide evidence based services to children with Autism Spectrum

Disorder. Our company utilizes the Early Start Denver Model which promotes social, cognitive, and learning skills through implementation of activities and play time. 

   Additionally, from 2019-2020 I was a student curator at the Institute of Neuroscience. My daily tasks included the input of research papers into a data base, data cleanup, and gaining access to papers from respective authors. Not only did this job demand a detail-oriented team member but it also taught me how to correspond professionally to those in academia. 

   Lastly, in fall of 2019 I interned at the Rinat Clinic in Accra, Ghana. For three months I got to experience the daily responsibilities of the staff inside the laboratory and was able to shadow very qualified Laboratory Technicians and Nurses. I was able to become fully immersed in the culture by learning some of the local language, attending social events, and also getting to experience the Ghana health care system firsthand. My time in Ghana as well as my upbringing in a low income area has sparked my interest in both Community Health and Global Health. Ultimately, my long term goal would be to reduce health disparities by creating policies and providing health education.
